Rockclimbing and Abseiling

If adventure is your game then Mount Buffalo offers exciting options with some of Victoria's most exciting climbs and abeils. You can abseil down sheer cliffs, with spectacular views into the valley below, before the challenging climb back up granite rock faces. Rising 1500 metres above the surrounding plains, there are two main climbing/abseiling areas, a 300 metre deep gorge that cuts into the eastern side of the escarpment and the granite tors found on top of the plateau. For thsoe slightly less adventurous why not go bouldering whilst enjoying one of the many short walks available on Mount Buffalo.

Discover glow worms whilst navigating your way through a 350 metre long underground river cave that was created by giant granite boulders. This particular cave has waterfalls, rapids and deep pools. Should you take up this adventure, you’ll be swimming, ducking and squeezing through the different ‘chambers’. A guided tour is strongly recommended. An amazing experience that you are sure to remember forever!
