True Horizons by Kent Morris – Audio Tour

Eurobin Station Rail Trail Eurobin Victoria

Standing as a profound cultural landmark along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, 'True Horizons' by Barkindji artist Kent Morris transforms Eurobin Station into a space of deep reflection.

Be immersed in fascinating history and culture through this self guided audio tour.

Discover the significance of the Bogong Moth, whose sculpture is at the heart of the site, honouring it's cultural and ecological significance.

Nearby the central sculpture rest three coolamons (multi-purpose carrying vessels) on granite boulders, presented as cultural knowledge holders. Their etched designs represent generations of continuous knowledge and connection, prompting reflection on what has been passed down, and what remains.

Surrounding the site are silhouettes of native animals that each play a part in this interconnected story, including the Native Pygmy Possum, Currawong, Crow, and Richard's Pipit.

This audio tour is presented in 5 chapters, each explaining a different aspect of the True Horizons site at Eurobin Station. Listen in your own time as you move through the space, discovering the artist's vision as you consider the true horizons of the Alpine region.
