Bright Flight Paragliding Tandem Flights

179 Morses Creek Road Landing Zone and Tandem Meeting Point Bright Victoria

Located in beautiful North East Victoria, Bright Flight Paragliding is one of the most popular and well-regarded flying schools in Australia with high safety standards.

You can tailor your flying adventure above Bright with different flight length options.

A tandem experience is a unique way of exploring the beautiful High Country from above, enjoying 360-degree views and adding a little extra adventure (if you like) by adding a few high-G turns.

The meeting place is only a few minutes outside of Bright, from where you will be taken up Mystic mountain and go for a flight after a short introduction. No previous experience is required.

Their pilots provide selfie sticks with leashes that fit most phones at no cost, and they will give you tips for you and your entourage on where to stand on launch and landing for the best shots of your take-off and landing.

Guided Experiences - Options

Have you seen wings gliding low above town in the calm morning air? A Top to Bottom flight is the gentlest way to experience paragliding. Every season has its own advantages. In spring you will see waterfalls glistening off Buffalo. Summer, being in the air above Bright, brings a bit of reprieve from the hot days and in autumn, well, there's no better way to see the tree colours than a glide over town. Late autumn and early spring may let you catch glimpses of snow-capped mountains. You will meet in the Landing Paddock before the drive up the hill with your pilot, and the team will brief you on what to expect next. The glide from the astroturfed summit launch of Mystic to the landing below takes around 10 minutes, and if you're game, you can choose some roller coaster-like moves on the way down. All up, the experience takes around one hour, and while it's the shortest of their experiences, because they don't ride the rising air up to the clouds, their pilots are consistently told it's an unforgettable experience.

Ever looked up above town and seen colourful wings circling above the mountain peaks? A high flight from Bright Flight will take you up there. You will meet in the Landing Paddock before the drive up the hill, and you will be briefed on what to expect next. From takeoff, your tandem pilot will find an invisible column of rising air, and turn you in circles to spiral higher and higher above the valley floor. The flight will take between 25-30 minutes, and will include climbing in thermals, often with other local and visiting pilots. If there are clouds in the sky, they might get high enough for you to touch them, before gliding out across the town of Bright and heading in to land at their landing zone.

Come on a flight that solo pilots travel across Australia (and the world), to try to bag for themselves. Cross Country flying is the art of riding thermals up to the clouds, before gliding to the next mountain peak to climb again. It's a true expression of unpowered, free flight, and their local tandem pilots are some of the best in the country at it. A cross country flight with Bright Flight is an exploration of their home mountain peaks. Depending on the day, you might cover 20 kilometres, see snow covered peaks as far away as New South Wales, or soar with (friendly) Wedge Tailed eagles. You will see why a true Cross Country flight is the goal of many new solo pilots. You will meet in the Landing Paddock before the drive up the hill with your pilot, and the team will brief you on what to expect next. All up, the experience takes around 2.5 hours, and there is simply nothing that compares to exploring the air above you. If motion sickness is of concern to you please take preventative steps prior to the flight.
