The Kiewa Valley Historical Society Museum (KVHS) will be the start of your exploration into the history and heritage of this beautiful part of the Victoria.

Discover why the SEC township of Mount Beauty was developed. Learn about who the first People of the Kiewa Valley were and their cultural heritage. Before touring to the Huts High Plains, explore why these huts are such an important part of Victoria’s heritage. Be astounded by the bravery of the first skiers to make a winter ascent of Mt Bogong. Temporary exhibitions are rotated every few months, so there will be something new every time you visit.

Why not book a curator’s behind the scenes guided tour? Tours and talks can be developed to cater to the interests of your school or bus group. Personalised stories will be featured which are not told in the exhibitions.

Your time at Mount Beauty, the Bogong High Plains and its beautiful surrounds can only be enhanced by a visit to the KVHS Museum.
